Georgia has always been a breeding ground for great bands. The B-52’s, R.E.M., Black Lips, Deerhunter -- you name it. If you in an up-and-coming band or just want to check out the sights and sounds, then you're sure to find a venue that suits your needs.
This indie rock club is a must for fans of the genre. They feature up and coming locals to more nationally known alternative performers. Similar to the 40 Watt Club and not because they were the original proprietor, but because it has its own charm.
DePalma's Italian Cafe
This simple and charming cafe offer fine drinks at the bar. Might as well wash the drinks down with a fine meal too. If you want to skip all that, then make sure to check out the live music that happens throughout the week.
Founded in 1992, This club resides in Decatur, GA. where they have made a name for themselves by having so many great bands thru their doors. A lot of talented bands have gone on to great success after crossing the threshold of Eddie’s Attic.
Established in 1998, this is more of a non-profit art space then music venue, but when they have music, they do it right. Located in Atlanta, the venue focuses more on experimental music than anything mainstream.

New Earth Music Hall
This is a multi-purpose venue. In addition to great music, they even have great drinks, a dancehall and even a yoga studio. It opened in 2009 and underwent an extensive remodelling phase in 2012.
Across from the Georgia Theater in downtown Athens, the Nowhere Bar is a frequented dive bar by the locals. The older crowded mixes well with the younger crowd as they gather for some pool, drinks and tunes.
